Delta Hands for Hope
Making a difference for school-aged children in the Mississippi Delta and surrounding areas.
Great things are happening with Delta Hands for Hope!
WBC spent a week in Shaw, July 26 - August 2, meeting with local leaders, the rotary club, and the exchange club to raise support and awareness for DHH. We also helped teachers and administrators and the local elementary school paint the hallways and bathrooms and participated in a town wide clean up.
Delta Hands for Hope launched a free summer food program through a USDA grant. They provided a balanced meal to children twice a week all summer long. The program gave out over 500 meals this summer! DHH is very excited about the relationships being built, and the collaboration with other organization and groups in Shaw.
Delta Hands for Hope welcomed Lane Riley as the Program Director for DHH.
